The Geraldton-Greenough Farmers Market operates with the key objective of promoting local fresh food and farmer’s products and their origins.
We run every Saturday morning from 8am to 12 noon at Maitland Park in Geraldton.
The main aims of the Geraldton-Greenough Farmers Market are to:
1. Preserve farmland and sustainable agriculture.
2. Support and stimulate the profitable trading, viability and business growth of independent primary producers, hobby farmers, community and home gardeners, and associated produce value-adders.
3. Provide customers with regular supplies of fresh food and access to improved nutrition.
4. Contribute to the economic, social and health capital of the host community.
5. Preserve the environment by reducing food miles and thus carbon footprint.
